Suppliers
Fusion Retail Brands ("FRB") pursues financial profitability and operational excellence, in addition to adhering to the highest possible standards in social responsibility and environmental preservation.
We select our suppliers with quality in mind, ensuring strict compliance to our global sourcing guidelines noted below. We ensure our suppliers are environmentally stable, and value quality and people above all else. This ensures they are consistent with the values we represent as a company.
Fusion Retail Brands Pty Ltd is concerned about the safety and fair treatment of the workers who manufacture the goods FRB sells, wherever the workers are located. To this end, FRB has developed the following Global Sourcing Guidelines, which shall apply worldwide to FRB’s suppliers.
FRB’s Global Sourcing Guidelines require all of FRB’s suppliers to respect certain employment standards that FRB believes should be universal.
In the selection of its suppliers, FRB works hard to choose reputable business partners who are committed to ethical standards and business practices compatible with those of FRB, as outlined below.
Employment Standards
FRB will only do business with suppliers whose workers are in all cases, present voluntarily, compensated fairly, and who are neither put at
risk of physical harm, discriminated against, nor exploited in any way.
In particular, it is FRB’s policy that:
Child labour - Child labour is not permissible. Workers must be the older of:
- - 15 years of age (or 14 where local laws for that country or region permits); or
- - the age for completing compulsory education.
Prison / Forced Labour - FRB will not deal with suppliers who use prison labour, forced labour and indentured labour. Employment must always be on a voluntary contractual basis.
Wage & Benefits - FRB will only deal with suppliers who compensate their employees fairly by providing wages and benefits that comply with legally mandated minimum standards.
Working Hours - FRB will only deal with suppliers who maintain reasonable work hours, not exceeding prevailing local standards for that country or region, or any maximum prescribed by applicable laws. Under no circumstances will workers be allowed to work, on a regularly scheduled basis, in excess of 60 hours per week. Workers shall be provided with at least one day off in every seven day period.
Health & Safety - FRB will only deal with suppliers who provide their employees with a safe and healthy work environment, designed to prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of or occurring in the course of work. FRB requires that its suppliers comply with all applicable legally mandated minimum standards for workplace health and safety.
Discrimination - FRB believes that employment should be based on ability and not on belief or any other personal characteristics. Thus, FRB will only deal with suppliers who do not employ discriminatory hiring practices or discriminate in other aspects of employment on the basis of race, colour, national origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or similar factors.
Harassment & Abuse - FRB expects all employees to be treated with respect and dignity. Thus, FRB will not deal with suppliers whose employees are subjected to physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse.
Environment - FRB will only deal with suppliers who comply with all local laws protecting the environment. In addition, FRB encourages its suppliers to conduct business to minimize waste and maximize recycling.
In order to assure that the Guidelines’ contents are available to the workers whose wellbeing is their objective, FRB also requires its suppliers to post these Global Sourcing Guidelines prominently on the premises where goods for FRB are manufactured.
To assure its supplier’s conformity with these Global Sourcing Guidelines, FRB reserves the right to make periodic, unannounced inspections of its supplier’s facilities.
FRB welcomes questions and comments regarding these Global Sourcing Guidelines, all of which should be sent to:
