ACT for Kids is an Australian charity which works to treat and prevent child abuse. There were more than 46,000
confirmed cases of child abuse in Australia last year. That's almost 1 case every 10 minutes where a child is suffering
from neglect or physical, sexual or emotional abuse (often by people they know and should be able to trust).
Many of these kids get no professional help whatsoever, and end up with lifelong problems. But a small few find themselves
at an ACT for Kids centre. Here, they are given all the skills, care and confidence they need to turn their tiny hearts
around and lead a normal life. ACT for Kids is also there for mums and dads, healing the hurt that abuse and domestic
violence causes the whole family.
Originally known as the Abused Child Trust, ACT for Kids has been helping Australian families keep their children safe for more than 20 years.

Whitelion’s vision is to reconnect disadvantaged young people so they are living positive and meaningful lives.
Whitelion aims to break the 'cycle of discouragement' through role modeling and mentoring, employment and outreach
programs across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania.
By providing a young person classified at risk, with a mentor or role model that can provide them with a positive influence in
their life, along with being able to support them with guidance and information to seek out employment, young people have a
much higher chance of contributing to the community in a positive way.
